Christmas PowerPoint Background

Deck the halls with boughs of holly! Fa la la la etc.

It’s now December, and you know what that means? Apart from the relentless onslaught of adverts on the TV, and the “I want” chorus of our little ones. Christmas!

Is this Christmas PowerPoint background not the epitome of Christmas? Well, the answer’s obviously yes (hold on – is that a double negative?), if you’re coming at it from a romantic “snowflakes in the night sky” perspective. But the colour gradients in this background are beautiful, so if nothing else, you do get a good looking piece of work.

Click on the image above to open up the template in PowerPoint and then save it to your hard drive with a quick ctrl+s, and Bob’s your uncle. Providing you’re using these templates and backgrounds for your own presentations and not publishing them on other sites (or selling them), the world’s your oyster. Amend the template for your own use and present away.

Yes, it’s that time of the week again: Fractal Friday. We have another 10 gorgeous fractal PowerPoint backgrounds for you to download and use how you wish (barring their republication on other websites, and their sale).

If you caught our earlier fractal background post, no doubt you’ve been waiting tirelessly by your computer for the past week, ready for the next instalment – and here it is!

We’ve had quite a few people asking how our designers are creating these fractals. I have to be honest and admit that we use expensive but old school software to get some fantastic results. And, while I’m in control of budgets, my designers will think themselves lucky that I forked out for this extravagant software. Not every designer is blessed with such a generous and thoughtful boss.

Shiny Shapes PowerPoint Backgrounds

You probably appreciate by now how strongly our designers are drawn to shiny objects. It should come as no surprise, then, to see this new batch of shiny shapes PowerPoint backgrounds. What’s better than shiny cubes? That’s right: shiny cubes and shiny balls.

Oooh, matron.

You’d have to go a long way to find backgrounds that were more shiny and reflective. I suppose these backgrounds are a little on the abstract side. Or perhaps even a little on the “broken Newton’s Cradle” side.

Whatever.

Left click on the backgrounds you like to open up a PowerPoint background, and quickly save it to your computer. We don’t want all your hard work, in the form of template changes, being lost in the case of a power cut or a computer crash. Anend these backgrounds how you see fit and then use them in your own presentations. You’ll have your audience cooing over the extreme shininess, make no mistake.

We had you in mind when we made the title slide the full picture and the content slides just a partial picture. The cropped picture appears at the left hand side of your content slides to allow more space for your content. How thoughtful.

Or how responsive to criticism, depending on how you want to look at it.

We’ve been thinking for a while about bringing in a new thing: Fractal Friday. Each Friday we will post a plethora of fractal backgrounds, all free for you to download. If we were a lazy bunch of ne’er do wells, I’d be tempted to question why we didn’t think of Fractal Friday before now. But the truth is that we have a long list of requested backgrounds that we are steadily working through (we’re always working, and we never sleep!), and we haven’t had time to even entertain the idea of fractals.

Until now, that is.

So, our proposed timetable is to publish backgrounds with a fractal bias every Friday. And they will be good, damn good. Just look at this instalment. How sexy are these backgrounds?

Because it’s possible that you might like to use them for other purposes than PowerPoint presentations, we’ve uploaded the images themselves. Usually we embed them in templates for you, but we couldn’t be bothered this time. Being artistic geniuses can be very tiring.

Here are 10 fractal backgrounds, and stay tuned foranother 10 next Friday. They look pretty dark in the thumbnails, but the larger images are a little lighter. Just click on an image to see what I mean. Right click and save the large image. You are not allowed to republish them on another website, however, or sell them.

Most Popular PowerPoint Backgrounds Of 2012

Well, the scores are in and the top 10 most popular PowerPoint Backgrounds of 2012 are, in order of most popular first:

It’s no surprise that the 2012 Olympics PowerPoint backgrounds are at number one, as this year the Olympics were hosted in London, UK. Olympics related backgrounds also came in at 3 and 4. With such stiff competition, that means that the lego backgrounds (at number 2) really do cut the mustard. Interestingly, the Olympics backgrounds at pole position were twice as popular as the lego backgrounds, so they really blew the competition out of the water.

There’s not much left of 2012, so we don’t see the positions changing too much, and the new year is just around the corner. Who knows what backgrounds will hold those spots this time next year? Stay tuned!

QR Code PowerPoint Backgrounds

Every day is a school day. Our design team didn’t even know what a QR code was before they embarked on their assignment to create these QR Code PowerPoint Backgrounds. Well, they know what QR codes are now.

We’ve got all the angles and colours covered in these free to download backgrounds. Personally, I prefer the “rusty” orange ones, but you’re free to download and use (in your own presentations only) any of the above backgrounds. In a way, some of them are reminiscent of Aztec symbols. Maybe we can use that as an idea for future PowerPoint backgrounds…

Click on an image to open up a presentation in PowerPoint with that image as the background, and away you go. Save it to your hard drive and then amend the template to meet your requirements.

I mean add your own content. I haven’t a clue where you’ll use this background, but there must be some board meeting you need to attend in which you can give a business presentation, no?

Another Animated Snowflake Background

Did we mention that there are only 46 shopping days left to Christmas? If an animated snowflake background is on your Christmas list, then you need look no further; here’s another animated snowflake background! As you can imagine, our elflike designers adore Christmas and have got busy with their Christmas backgrounds.

Although the original video size was a staggering 77 MB, we’ve shrunk it down to a more manageable 2MB. If you thought you had time to grab a quick cup of coffee, while you downloaded the background, think again!

This animated background is 6 seconds of 1333 px x 1000 px christmas snowflake fun. You can download it by right clicking on the image or the link and selecting “save target as”. Find a location on your computer and save it.

OK, we know that there are a whopping 49 shopping days left to Christmas, but we couldn’t resist opening that tin of Christmassy Animated Snowflake Backgrounds. You can download the movie and use it in a variety of places, including, of course, a PowerPoint presentation. The best thing to do is probably right click on the image above (or the link given earlier) and then “save target as” to a location on your computer. It’s a 10 second animated movie of snowflakes falling and we managed to whittle the file size down to a mere 3.2 MB. That will take next to no time to download. See how we look after you?

Dominoes PowerPoint Backgrounds

Our designers love playing games, and this week they’ve mostly been playing dominoes. Hence, the plethora of opportunities to take shots of dominoes from all angles. And that’s precisley what they have done, to create these lush dominoes PowerPoint backgrounds.

It was a hard job to get them to put their toys down for two minutes so that we could get our work done, but we did it. If you look closely, you find dominoes in all colours. There are evensome transparent dominoes backgrounds. And there are also some very shiny dominoes.

Click on a design you see above to open up the background in PowerPoint and then save it to your PC. Youcan then amend them and use them in your own presentations.
